How to Care for Your Pearls ✨
Pearls are beautiful, delicate, and organic gems. With a little care, they can keep their natural luster for many years.
Daily care
• Gently wipe your pearls with a very soft, clean cloth after each wear.
• Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steamers, hot water, and excessive heat.
• Put your pearls on last after perfume, hairspray, skincare, and cosmetics — and take them off first when you get home.
• For pearl strands, try to keep the string dry. If the pearls become damp, lay them flat to dry completely before storing.
How to store pearls
• Store pearls separately from gemstones and metal jewelry to help prevent scratches.
• Keep them away from perfume, hairspray, cosmetics, acids, and other chemicals. Even perspiration can affect the pearl surface over time.
• Avoid storing pearls in plastic bags for long periods. Pearls benefit from a little natural moisture and should not be allowed to become excessively dry.
• Store them in a soft silk or cotton pouch, or in a fabric-lined jewelry box.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to strong light or heat, which may affect their color and luster.
A simple rule to remember:
Pearls should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. 🤍
Take care of your pearls, and they’ll continue to glow with you for years to come.
